Faith In Action

“Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” – Hebrews 11:1

Trust is an act of faith. Faith is not evident in your life if you do not activate it.

“Even so faith, if it hath not works, is dead, being alone.” – James 2:17

It takes faith to trust in God. You can’t see Him, but you know in your heart He is there, and that He loves you beyond measure. Jesus died on the cross and left his Holy Spirit as our comforter; to encourage us in our faith, as signs and wonders follow them that believe. (Mark 16:17) The Lord rewards our faith, as it pleases Him.

“But without faith it is impossible to please him: for he that cometh to God must believe that he is, and that he is a rewarder of them that diligently seek him.” – Hebrews 11:6

No relationship works without trust. Our relationship with God is based on faith which in action produces trust.

Faith + Trust (Faith in Action) = Relationship

Even if you do not see it right away, believe that it is, and you will eventually see. Thomas would not believe until He saw. You must first believe. Hebrews 11:6 says, that you must first believe that He is, and then He will reward you for your faith.

“Jesus saith unto him, Thomas, because thou hast seen me, thou hast believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed.” – John 20:29

Trust in our world can be easily hurt, as promises are broken. This world will give us tons of reasons not to believe…but God doesn’t break His promises. We must believe even in the harshest of storms. (Matthew 14:22-33)

Sometimes It takes faith to forget the past, receive healing, and move forward into God’s promises. It takes faith to trust in people. It takes faith to save marriages. So many things require faith. To take on a new ministry, career or venture takes faith.

Even if you have faith as small as a mustard seed, that is all you need.

“Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you.” – Matthew 17:20

The more you nurture your faith, and activate it in your life, the more it will grow and nothing will be impossible for you.

“Faith doesn’t make things easy, it just makes things possible.” – Unknown
