All I ever hear on the news anymore is TRUMP! I hear more bashing about Trump on the news than anything else. I guess if you vote you are allowed to complain, but more than complain we have a responsibility of praying for the people put in positions of leadership. This world and the leaders in it are imperfect people, so if you ask me it doesn’t matter who makes the platform, God will use anyone to get His work done, but there needs to be prayer behind it. God works all things together for the good of those who love Him. (Romans 8:28)
“I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world.” – John 16:33
We were never promised a perfect world without trouble. With that said, we must also be prayerful about who we cast a vote for. We must also keep ourselves informed so that we can not only make prayerful votes, but educated ones. Many politicians promise “fools gold.” Fools Gold is a mineral that often gets confused with real gold. It may look good on the outside, but you will quickly realized that what you have bears very little value if at all. Beware of a fast talking person, you may be listening to a fool.
“Do you see someone who speaks in haste? There is more hope for a fool than for them.” Proverbs 29:20
A fool can speak his mind lavishly without thought, but a person who is wise will keep his thoughts until the end; once they have been reviewed and prayed over. Things you say are hard to take back after they have been said; especially for someone in the public eye. But….the mouth speaks what is in the heart.
“A good man brings good things out of the good stored up in his heart, and an evil man brings evil things out of the evil stored up in his heart. For the mouth speaks what the heart is full of.” Luke 6:45
Donald Trump has certainly had his share of allegations, and He has spoken some pretty controversial words in his time; however, he was still voted in. I remember coming across some non-authoritative articles stating that Donald Trump is the beginning of end times. I giggled to myself at this thought. The sign of end times have already presented themselves long before he was voted in as the 45th president of the United States. One thing reigns true as far as politics are concerned – we are deceived at some point or another. The world itself is full of deceit, we cannot get away from that. But we can pray for discernment. In a day of “anything goes” and social media influence, we must keep ourselves engrossed in the word of God, so that we might discern what is good and what is evil, right and wrong, and to abstain from the soothsayers who try to give us false prophecy.
“Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world.” 1 John 4:1
“But evil men and seducers shall wax worse and worse, deceiving, and being deceived.” 2 Timothy 3:13
“But solid food is for the mature, who by constant use have trained themselves to distinguish good from evil.” Hebrews 5:14
I’m a Canadian residing in Ontario, so the latest news in my end of the world right now is Justin Trudeau’s stick on eyebrows ?. Oh yes, and Doug Ford recently was voted in as Premier of Ontario! Couldn’t be happier for this. Is he a perfect man? Probably not. But he is all for taking out nonsense ideologies and bringing us back to the heart of the issues that we all face, and doing what is best; not an “anything goes” approach to make things easier for all, which only introduces confusion and more problems.
Trump is not the worse thing to ever happen to the American people, and he is not a signal of End Times. Sin IS the worse thing that ever happened, and it’s still a worldwide issue to this day. It’s enough to try and symptomatically fix the issues in the world by throwing money into programs, speaking and educating on climate issues, creating programs for addictions when we vote to make everything legal in the first place, or making dangerous allowances to include everything under the sun so that no one gets offended, but confused at the same time as to who they are to start with. By what Authority do we decide on issues? A man who is not led by the spirit of God is dangerous as he is left to himself. This is why we need to be in prayer. Why don’t we get to the root of the problem in the world – SIN. There is only one solution for that – JESUS. Until the Trump sounds, I will pray for the leaders of our time, that God would have His way, then He will have the final say.
“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” 1 Thessalonians 4:16
“And Jesus came up and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Matthew 28:18-20
