In remembrance of Billy Graham

I remember being a kid, and having Billy Graham on the television in his earlier days. My family was not a Christian family, at least not a devoted one. But something about Billy Graham attracted even the non-believer. His message was very distinct – The Gospel of Jesus Christ & His love and redeeming power. Billy Graham counselled many leaders of our day, and even bailed Martin Luther King Jr out of jail! He was a man of faith, a man of God, and just overall a widely respected man. Both Billy Graham and Martin Luther King Jr. had a dream, and they didn’t give up on their dreams. Both faced difficulties in their lives but through faith came out successful.

Many years ago received a book in the mail from the Billy Graham Association, that his wife Ruth had written called “Footprints of a pilgrim.” It was almost a divine thing, because I was a new christian at the time, and it had all of her poetry and their life story penned out on beautiful paper. I did not order the book, I just signed up for emails from the association after becoming a new Christian. I was so inspired because I too loved writing as Ruth did, and of course who doesn’t love a good love story 🙂 Click the picture below to order a copy from Amazon if you wish. It’s a beautiful rendition of the life of Billy Graham and the behind the scene from his youth to who he became. I still cherish my copy and go back to read the poems from time to time they are absolutely beautiful. It really speaks to his ongoing faithfulness to serve God.

I read an article about Martin Luther King and Billy Graham. It was about having a dream and never giving up even in the face of adversity, and placing your confidence in Christ’s redemptive of power. You can read the article by click the link below:

Everyone has a God given dream and purpose, have faith in God and don’t give up! We can gain inspiration from people like Billy Graham, he never gave up on his message, and God blessed him tremendously, and others were blessed under his ministry as well. So way to go Billy! You reached your final destination! Well done good and faithful servant!

“His lord said unto him, Well done, good and faithful servant; thou hast been faithful over a few things, I will make thee ruler over many things: enter thou into the joy of thy lord.” Matthew 25:23
