Shout it Out!

To present her to himself as a radiant church, without stain or wrinkle or any other blemish, but holy and blameless. Ephesians 5:27

The commercial from 1975 asked, “what would you do for a really tough stain?” A woman replied, “I would Shout it Out!” Shout it out is a heavy-duty stain remover. When what you have used in the past isn’t working, it’s time for something stronger! My question in any tough situation is, what would Jesus do? When Jesus called Lazarus back from the dead; a seemingly impossible situation, He cried loudly, “Lazarus come out!” (John 11:43). If you want a disorderly child to straighten out, you are going to be firm and demand action! If an army commander whispered, nobody would listen. If he loudly commands attention, you see order; a platoon standing perfectly in one accord. When Jesus called out a demon, He silenced the evil by sharply saying, “Be Quiet!” Then He instructed it to leave (Luke 4:35). There is a time for silence and a time for shouting (Ecclesiastes 3:7). When we worship in one accord it is loud enough to drown out any enemy! Jesus didn’t have to yell; His still small voice is powerful enough, but He was teaching us something. Think of a time when you were at loud event (hockey game; worship conference). You were probably not thinking of much else – you were focused. When we worship in one accord; when we speak in tongues, and worship in spirit and truth (John 4:24) it confuses the enemy. When we worship our issues escort themselves out!

God hears our faintest whisper, but He desires the deepest cry of our heart. Let God know how much you need Him! If your child cried out to you, you would hear and respond in love (Matthew 7:11). In Joshua 6:20 when the trumpet sounded; the army gave a shout, and they gained victory! Jesus is coming back for a church without spot or wrinkle; His bride. We need to get ready! Would you attend a wedding with a wrinkly stained shirt? Jesus blood saturates and makes us white as snow, there is nothing too dirty for Him to make clean (Jeremiah 32:27). Call on the name of the Father, Son and Holy Spirit. The name of Jesus is like a triple action stain/sin fighter all in one! Got a stain? Go ahead and Shout it Out!

The righteous cry out, and the LORD hears them; he delivers them from all their troubles. Psalm 34:17
