    Do not be afraid. Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord, which He will accomplish for you today. (Exodus 14:13-14) Israel was crying out to God for rescue. There was no way forward and no way back. God heard their cry and He answered. Moses heard, and then acted upon the word of the Lord. He stretched his hand out in faith, and God parted the waters. Deuteronomy 30:6 Circumcision is a covenant. It is a sacrifice of flesh; putting away the old man. It involves the shedding of blood – purification. It is like what Christ did on the cross for us. God proposed a covenant to Abraham that He would make him a great nation (Genesis 17:1-2). The Israelite’s circumcision outwardly set them apart as God’s chosen people.
