    The Lord Has Sustained Me

    “I lay down and slept, yet I woke up in safety, for the LORD was watching over me.” – Psalm 3:5 I awoke at 1 am this morning, frustrated that I couldn’t sleep – yet again.  I got up and went to get a glass of water, and went back to bed to lay down; feeling hopeless.  I prayed a quick, almost demanding prayer, “Jesus, I can’t sleep, please help!” With that, my dog hopped aboard almost as if to say, “Stay put.” Then a saying came to me, and kept running through my mind like it was on repeat. “The Lord has sustained me.” I felt to say it…
